One World Schools

Join our ‘One World Schools' programme and become a flagship sustainable school in the North West with a greener and more ethical way of working.

One World Schools is an innovative scheme delivered by Groundwork Pennine Lancashire in partnership with Lancashire Wildlife Trust

One World Schools is a whole school approach that encourages pupils, staff and parents to actively engage in decisions that affect them and make a positive contribution to the world around them.

Experienced education teams from Groundwork Pennine Lancashire and Lancashire Wildlife Trust will provide a comprehensive package of education for sustainable development together with support for real changes in your school.

Joining ‘One World Schools' will mean that we can help your school to:
- make significant energy and water savings,
- reduce litter and waste,
- increase recycling,
- create outdoor classrooms with food growing and wildlife areas,
- encourage walking and cycling to school,
- investigate renewable energy,
- involve families and the local community,
- enrich your alternative curriculum,
- and much, much more!
